One lucky loved up lady is being invited to propose to her lad in return for a host of luxurious gifts.
We have just entered a leap year and with February 29 marking the day that it is traditional for women to pop the question, the Beeston Town Centre team are holding a competition to find a woman who will do just that.
The team are looking for a lady willing to take a leap and propose at the bandstand in Beeston Square on this special day that only comes around every four years.

The chosen lady and her beau will be showered with gifts from local businesses and possible proposers are being asked to email the team explaining why they want to get engaged in this unique way.
Julie Cameron, chair of Beeston Town Centre Team, said: “The Beeston Town Team have been really pleased with the response from local businesses looking to get involved with our Beeston Town of Love promotion.”

Julie added: “The Leap Year proposal has got lots of people talking about Beeston in a positive way. Valentines month, and particularly this February being a Leap Year, is giving us a great opportunity to promote the wonderful shops and experiences on offer in Beeston.”
While proposing to your man in the middle of Beeston might not be at the top of your to do’s, there’s plenty of incentive with a host of local businesses donating gifts to help you plan your big day.
Julie said: “I love Beeston, the businesses here love Beeston and now we really want everyone else to fall in love with Beeston this Valentines’.
These gifts include a voucher for £100 off rings at Onyx Goldsmiths, 50% off Wedding Photography Package from Shell Woodward and a 2-hour engagement shoot with 15% off orders from White Cloud Photography.
Owner of Onyx Goldsmiths, Erica Montano, said: “We think the competition is a wonderful community celebration of a Leap Year Proposal
“Onyx have been trading in Beeston for 30 years and have celebrated 7 leap years during that time. The noticeable difference has been the rise in same sex proposals”
