East Midlands Airport has announced it will offer hundreds of jobs at its annual recruitment fair.
The airport is offering up to 350 jobs on the day of the fair, which will take place this weekend at the Castle Donington Airport and over 1000 by the end of the year.
Last year, the airport managed to fill all 1,250 vacancies over the course of the year and this year they plan to do exactly the same.
Managing director Andy Cliffe said: “Last year was our first jobs fair and it was incredibly successful as we had over 1,200 attendees and we filled all 350 jobs on offer on the day.
“This year is no exception and we are hoping that many people in the region will attend our job fair to hear about the exciting opportunities we have across the many businesses on site here.”
Currently there are around 6,500 staff members employed across 90 different sites.
Mr Cliffe said: “Since the academy opened it has seen 333 people take training and 204 of them go on to find employment.
“Our business is a great place to expand your skills and develop.”
The East Midlands Airport Academy was set up in 2013 and is a dedicated employment and education facility for adults. Work produced by the academy will be exhibited on the day.
Bus company Trent Barton are offering discounted tickets to those travelling to the event and free car parking and a shuttle bus to the airport will also be available.
