Nottingham is set to host Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile on Sunday March 20. The Nottingham Mile is one of the 16 Flagship Miles taking place around the country.

The money raised for Sport Relief will go to help transform the lives of the UK and the world’s most poorest and vulnerable communities.

Take a sponsored stroll, walk or run from 10am at the newly opened Harvey Hadden Sports Village.

The £16m redevelopment is the largest investment of Nottingham City council’s leisure transformation programme.

Councillor David Trimble, Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Culture said: “The Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile in Nottingham is here and it’s your time to walk or run yourself proud.”

Those taking part will pass through Bilborough Park, the new cycling track and finish inside the Athletic Stadium.

There will also be entertainment and different sport activities taking place for spectators to take part in.
