Novice marathon man Wayne Swiffin has secured sponsorship from the Mansfield based solicitors firm Fidler & Pepper for his upcoming run in the London Marathon.

Mr Swiffin, who is a public relations consultant, journalist and business owner, has worked with the firm for several years helping to raise its profile through social media, networking and press articles.

His involvement with the company has paid off, with the firm deciding to sponsor the runner who has hopes to raise £2,000 for The Royal British Legion by taking part in the marathon in April 2017.

After hearing of Fidler & Pepper’s decision to sponsor him, Mr Swiffin said: “I am so grateful to them for their support and sponsorship. Training for a marathon can often be a solo effort so it is great to know that people are supporting you.”

Partners at Fidler & Pepper, such as their marketing manager, have also previously run the London Marathon and continue to support Wayne.

Sally Callaghan-Wetton whose husband ran the marathon said: “I’ve seen Wayne’s updates on social media and he is putting in the effort that is needed to train for a marathon.

“We wish him the very best of luck and hope our contribution will go some way to helping The Royal British Legion carry out their work.”

With the marathon impending and donations still needed in order to reach Wayne’s goal of £2,000, please email wayneswiffin@mandatumpr.co.uk if you would like to donate.
